I especially love the skulls carvings on the walls – they are so cool!

p.s. if you did it again, would you go for the private tour, or would you such it up and go with the cheaper option?

And I totally get your experience with a mass, organised tour.. I always try to organise it myself and have the freedom but sometimes it’s not possible I guess. Thanks for sharing this is a great post! 🙂 x

They’re often the most efficient way of getting to a place though. I remember an organised tour in Chiapas, Mexico. We spent all day sitting at the back of a mini bus on terrible roads with violent speed bumps! I hardly remember seeing the waterfalls or ruins, just the bus and those speed bumps!

The place was so interesting. Thanks for the recap of your day, it was informative.

Not nearly enough time!

Before everything we were planning a Mexico trip and I was eyeing up a Chichen Itza visit but wasn’t really sure how to go about it. Hopefully I’ll be able to go soon
